While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Stefano--
There are several articles in the MAPUG archives that explain how to lock
down the mirror on the 12" LX-200. You then fine focus with a motorized
crayford focuser at the rear of the scope placed just ahead of the diagonal
or camera--this greatly reduces mirror shift but costs a good bit more than
the simple motofocus. It is also a JMI unit and is worth it if you are going
to try astrophotography.

nothing for focus shift. All it does is provide a remote focusing
arrangement.
