While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Michael,
Check under the "Object Library" menu file under the heading "Higher". For
now, set this setting to 00 degrees (which should give you an unobstructed
view of the horizon). If this setting has accidentally been set to, say 60
degrees, M57 will be below the horizon as the LX200 interprets your horizon
to be 60 degrees above "earth's horizon". See page 20 and 21 in the Meade
manual regarding this.
This may not be your problem, but it's a place to start looking.
