While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hi All -- During the full moon on the 2nd and 3rd I was able to get a series of
images completed on IC5146. Some gradient from the "moon shine" ocurred,
but I removed it as much as I could in PS using Ron Wodaski's method.
You can see it at:
http://www.lochsjewelers.com/lnai28.htm
The 12" LX 200 at f/6.3 was used along with the SBIG ST7-E and AO7. The
set point was -23 degrees C on the 2nd (12 L images each of 600 seconds
duration [120minutes]) and, -20 on the 3rd. for the RGB images. There were 4
red images of 600 seconds each, 4 green images of 600 seconds each, and
4 blue images of 900 seconds each. Track time was 0.10 seconds for the L
images, 0.2 seconds for the red images, 0.8 seconds for the green images,
and 1.0 second for the blue images.
The L images were un-binned at 9 micron pixel size. The RGB images were
binned 2x at 18 micron pixel size.
Any comments would be appreciated!
best regards
Frank
