If you do this without a middleman/third party to care for the funds, good
luck getting someone to send you sight-unseen the a certified check for the
funds. That's the hard part. You may be the most honest person on the face
of the earth, but your buyer doesn't know you.
May have to arrange for a money holder as they do on eBay (check it out).
Price looks decent, but is it set or negotiable.
Offer to insure (at buyers cost) for at least the cost of the scope (UPS can
do a job on their shipments - experience talking here).
If I didn't have a 10", it'd tempt me.
