Bruce,

You just saved me $200 and weeks of waiting!! I had a runaway RA drive. I
looked at the schematics but couldn't figure it out, and there were no
broken or loose wires, so I called Meade to get a return number. Then I saw
your post. I took out the RA drive and connected batteries following your
directions and found that comparator #2 was at almost zero volts. I
adjusted the pot and - bingo - 1.21 volts. Dirty pot. The scope is working
fine now.
