Sorry to hear that your bout with tech support was lacking. I spoke
to someone in customer service recently to arrange shipment of my
eyepieces and found him to be quite friendly and helpful (name was
Andrew, if memory serves me). I would suggest that you give customer
service a call and give it one more try. Perhaps you can enlist
someone in your cause to do some leg work on their end and come up
with the goods - namely, clear instructions and the proper hardware.
