While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

You hit the nail on the head with the 'small market' comment. A
manufacturer building a million lawn mowers can afford to put the
engineering time into good shop diagrams. I have to wonder though,
if Meade couldn't cut a little overhead on warranty repairs if they
were to produce a shop manual. I imagine most of us would be willing
to pay for such, if it were available.
