I am interested in obtaining opinions or feedback on the Collins I3
eyepiece. I have a 12" lx 200 that I use to observe from my fairly light
polluted suburban back yard. The I3 eyepiece interests me because I am
unable to transport my scope to a dark sight and I would like an aid in
observing the faint dso's. I am more of a casual observer spending only
one or two hours per session. Any feedback will be very helpful. Joey

While I have never looked through one, I don't think it will address your
problem.... lack of contrast between the DSO and the light polluted sky
background. However, couple it with a video camera and boost the video
gain and THAT might help boost the contrast as well as provide real time
DSO imaging.
