While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

I use the Keyspan twin serial to USB adaptor
(http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/usa28x/) on a G4 Powerbook - it works
flawlessly, converting one USB port to two serial ports. I have both The Sky
for Mac, and Voyager III/Skypilot. Despite all the early bugs in Voyager,
this is still the software I tend to load up - it's fast (much faster than
The Sky) and I find if more intuitive and "Mac-like" than anything else I've
seen.
You can even run both pieces of software simultaneously if you like - the
LX200 has two serial ports built into the single RS232 socket, and the
Keyspan converter has two serial outputs. Bill Arnett has a nice web page
that details how to make a dual cable
(http://www.seds.org/billa/meade/cable.html). Assign The Sky to one port
and Voyager to the other - if you move or slew the scope from one program,
it's position is automatically updated in the other (background) program.
Move the scope with the LX200 hand controller, and the scope position is
simultaneously updated in both programs. Quite neat really ...
