While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hello again,
I've realised there is a bit missing, concerning the application of heat =
to the ali molding and the use of a bar in the pivot holes to rotate the =
casting into the correct possition, possibly using additional force to =
overcome the pressing.
Sorry, BrianB

Has anyone experienced the following problem? I checked the MAPUG =
Archives=20
but could not find anything similar listed there.=20

"One of the legs on my =E2=80=9C10=E2=80=9D LX 200 Field =
Tripod=E2=80=9D is not quite lined-up with=20
one of the extension struts that extends from the tension hub. It =
appears=20
that a 1/8" to 1/4" turn of the leg would correct the problem. =
Because of=20
this misalignment, one of the tripod extension struts catches and I =
have to=20
be very careful so that I do not damage the slot where the extension =
strut=20
attached to the lock nut sleeve housing."=20

Is there a way that this defect can be corrected by the user, to avoid =
having=20
to ship it back to Meade? Please advise.=20
