While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

If I were at home, I'd take the fuse out of the holder and look for markings on the metal ends. Frequently you'll see embossed letters and numbers like "AGC 1" or "MDL 3". The number is usually the current rating.

If you see some numbers, check the DigiKey, Mouser, or (argh!) Radio Shack catalog to see if you can find a direct replacement based on the fuse number.

And I doubt that a 1-amp fuse would be sufficient, given what I remember about LS-200 current draw and the meaning of the amp meter LEDs. If I had to, I'd guess the fuse would be rated about 3 amps (but I wouldn't guess - I'd look at it).
