While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have an 8" LX-50, and was considering buying an LX-200, but I thought
perhaps I should consider some sort of other mount/drive system instead. My
objective is to have something that will give me great PEC, clock drive, can
interface with an ST-4, and is good for astrophotography. As far as I can
tell, my OTA is just fine, it's the drive system that the LX-50's have a bad
rap for.

Anyone know of any readings about this? Is there something I can just drop
my OTA into, or would I have to retrofit it?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank Schwartz
