While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I have recently purchased the LX200 7" Mak. I love the scope and have had
good success so far.. no thanks to the manual. My questions are as follows:
1) I have a TV Nagler 13mm 2" ep that seems not as good at f/15 as when I
use the Meade f/6.3 focal reducer. I notice a significant change in
performance here. Is this the norm?
2) I have a TV Panoptic 35mm 2" ep that works in reverse to the above...
again is this the norm??
3) I am considering the TV Nagler 2 20mm 2" as a next purchase..any comment
from other 7" mak users regarding their results with this ep?
Being an idiot in regards to optics , I suspect all three questions have a
sound scientific relationship that I have as yet discovered. I understand
apparent field and exit pupil if this helps with above questions.
Thanks in advance to all who reply!!!
BTW I find MAPUG very interesting since living in Montana leaves me with
few options for interaction with other amateurs.
