Thanks very much for that Michael, I will try those exposure times next
clear night - of which I get maybe 1 every 2 weeks at present :(
I've just purchased a 60AH deep-cycle battery for powering the
scope/camera, I hope this will clean up any power supply problems and
I'll see what effect this has on any background noise. I'm also hoping
the battery capacity should give me a maximum of 8 hours use, I sure
didn't fancy lugging the 120AH battery around (the damn thing should
come with wheels on) so I got the smaller one. In the UK Maplins can
supply a 240VAC inverter which I will use to power my laptop in the
field. Pity the Thinkpad uses 20V instead of 12V.
