While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I can't imagine why it should be. Don't slap the grease all over the
place - a thin even layer is what is needed. Look in the MAPUG archives
for instructions on how to reomve the corrector plate safely, it's a
very easy job once you know how - I've done it in the field, in the dark
with the aid of a small red torch held between my teeth (and not lost a
single screw!).
