While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Hi Frank,
> I was just curious. I've heard reference to models LX-5, LX-6, LX-8 and LX-100. What are these models? What are the specs on them? I've never seen them advertised in any astro magazine, nor do they have them on the Meade web site or General Catalog.
LX, LX3, LX5, LX6 and LX100 are several of the previous, currently out
of production, SCT flavors offered by Meade. I don't know of an LX8.
The LX100 is the most recently extinct version. The LX50 has replaced
LX100 as the lower cost alternative to the LX200. None of these models
offer the computer contolled, alt-az tracking or "goto" slewing tht the
LX200 offers.
