While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Boy, am I confused. Living in cloudy Pittsburgh (which is clear tonight - go
figure?!?) puts me in EDT, which I understand to be 4 hours different from
GMT (UT). But in going to the GREENWICH2000 web page, I get a report that my
computer time (which is quite accurate) is only THREE hours different from
GMT. HUH?!?

Now, the real reason for my question. Using the Iridium prediction web page,
I should have had a bright flash tonight at 20:27:56. (By the way, I set my
coordinates using a GPS, and should be accurate to within 50 feet or so) No
flash came our way, and I was wondering if I am confused by being an hour
off. Does this rambling make any sense?? Anyone care to help?? Thanks, as
always,

And clear skies to you, one and all.

Jim, in the really clear 'Burgh
