It never ceases to amaze me why balancing is so difficult to understand for
so many people. I think the root of the problem is that the "seesaws" we
all played on as kids didn't tilt up high enough for balance in the other
dimension to be significant :)
Or maybe it's that in this age of microchips and lasers no one understands
basic mechanics anymore. I don't want to compute how many decades it's
been since I was in school but even back then I had no courses in mechanics
(and I have an engineering degree). Maybe in Doc's day .... :-)
