While you're here, how about checking out the

Tom--personally, I don't like these eps for planetary & lunar observing as
they have so many elements and thus glass surfaces, they produce strong
internal reflections that are very distracting to me. I love my 35mm Panoptic
and 20mm Nagler for deep sky, but for planetary/lunar, you can't beat a good
quality Plossl or Orthoscopic.
Also, in your set, I think the 16mm is too close to the 22mm to be of much
use. A good rule of thumb is to go up or down by a factor of 2 in focal length
between your choices.
And the narrow field (50°) of the 55mm Plossl will not show a much wider true
field of the sky than the 35mm--which gives a very pleasing wide field view
(65°, I believe). For more opinions and suggestions by Bill Arnett, Emery
Hildebrand, John Hopper & Don Tabbutt on recommended sets of eps, visit the

and right after that is the post "Using Max Exit Pupil to Determine Lowest
Power EP" by Michael Richmann that has very important info concerning the
central obstruction shadow effect. Think the advise there can save you some money!
