While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

When using the Magellan II, the first thing to do is align to Polaris ( in
northern hemi ). If all subsequent
scope axis rotations are tracked from this celestial "anchor" point, why is
it necessary to do one or two
additional star alignments? Are the subsequent star alignments for
determining a margin of error particular
to the scope being used that feedb back into the computer "FIND"
calculations? What is the latest and
greatest Megallan II program version upgrade?
