While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Writing this to Mike, Gene, and the MAPUG group:

>takahashi makes mounting rings that slip around the OTA taht allow you to
attach...

Firstly.. to Gene, thanks for that Takahashi ring recommendation. I dont'
think the Tak. ring
would fit in the Meade cradle though ?? I'm currently using Meade rings.

Mike, Steve S. posted that he mimicks a 2-star align. with re-synch.
However, is he running in place
with the second star?

Mike.. How did you figure this out?? It's not in the manual! It worked, and
was the only thing
that got me anywhere near close this morning. All objects were in a wide
field eyepiece, but
not anywhere near center. Much closer though after your routine than the
initial line up.
I have even more work to do on this I guess. The manual, btw, says press
MODE key
which did nothing. Was the manual updated?? two medium length GOTO presses
did the trick.

Mike, Steve, group.. If I do use the polar alignment scope, and I do PRE
align the mount exactly. . would I just be able to manually move the scope
after power up in the correct position to ANY star , press -resync, and be
done?
