I've finally gotten some clear skies and have been busy taking CCD images.
However, I'm not totally happy with them. Could someone that's seen other
CB245 cookbook images take a look at my page:
http://www.duckpond.mv.com/astro.html
and tell me if these images are OK, poor, great, or what? They are a mix
of Orion 80mm RFT and 10" LX200 shots. I've found the 80mm VERY difficult
to focus using a mask; the 10" is a piece of cake in comparison.
Anyone have some great method for f/5 RFT focusing? (I'm using a 3 hole
mask with about 3/4" holes)
I suppose I should have spent more time in the past doing imaging rather
than photometry!
Thanks.
PS: those that have asked me where to find copies of the SciAm Amateur
Scientist project book; they are VERY rare.. anyone that has one seems
to want to keep it. I found one in New Zealand, and that's it!
