The problem is that you're pressing enter; you need to press GOTO instead.
Also, don't follow the manual directions when it says to recenter Polaris.
If you do, you'll spend a lot of extra time because this causes you to
overcorrect. Instead, move Polaris one-half of the way back to being
centered. Your alignment will converge much faster. I did three iterations
before going to drift alignment and had to make only very slight additional
adjustments.
