While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

<<Now for my question: When looking at objects
close to Polaris with a fork mount, how do you aim
the scope while keeping it polar aligned?????>>
With a wedge mounted fork mount when looking near
Polaris, with the DEC set at 90 (RA indicators
aligned so the fork arms are mostly parallel to
the ground) the forks should point to Polaris and
the OTA should be aligned parallel with the forks
with viewing end pointed south of course. This
means the viewing end is pointed straight at the
wedge. On most SCT scopes this means the finder is
on bottom.
<<Or is this just a limitation of the fork
mount?>>
No limitation. It can make for some odd viewing
positions with eyepiece between the forks, and
using the finder on the bottom is always fun.
