While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Doc--I get the strong impression that that Ware and Newton work as much for
their "magic" photos in the darkroom and on the computer as with their
scopes. They both seem somewhat proprietary about some of these "backroom"
techniques. I do know that accomplished photographers generally will take
hundreds of photos for one good one and either use expensive custom
processing or have elaborate, and very expensive, home setups. Andy
