While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Any of the above will likely be much better than the 6X30. Although I
never have liked the Meade 8X50 very much. Also, for an SCT, seriously
consider a finder with a right angle viewing ability. Your neck will
thank you when pointing near the zenith!
