While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

This who episode leaves me with a TERRIBLE taste for the Internet...
and is a perfect example of why I warn my children about believing,
or
taking as authoritative, *anything* they find on it.

**Mr.** Speicher, you attempt to speak *so* eloqently, and
athoritatively, on questions of cosmology, one tends to feel that
your CalTech email address for signify some athority in this matter.

You even lend credence to this by claiming to know *so* many
*very* intelligent people. I have no doubt you do pass them every day
on your way to work as an "asst. computer analyst" in the Biology
Dept. at CalTech.

Everyone should be extrememly aware of the amateur nature of the Web.

John Neubert
Coordinator Academic Computing
(who "lurks" on mapug because of his son's growing
interest in astronomy)
