While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

When I'm imaging with my CCD, I've noticed that every once in awhile I
get an image that streaks like it was imaging fine at one spot and
then it suddenly jumps10-15 pixels ahead. I end up with images whose
stars look like barbells, a star, a connecting line, and a star. I get
double images? I've checked cables and so forth to see if they could
be catching. The only thing attached to the scope is the CCD. Could it
be the RA drive catching momentarily? Any ideas?
