While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hey Brian,

This really sounds like a focus problem. Check my
earlier post regarding the archive articles. Meade's
9mm REP is parfocal with the 201, maybe the 208. My
12mm is close to parfocal, maybe an 1/8" longer focus.
Once focus is found you will need to be able to repeat
it. The taurus Tracker is excellent in this regard.

In defense of the 201, I have to say that overall I
prefer it to the ST-4. It's easier to use and the
instructions are better.

Be patient, it's worth the trouble. Remember: FOCUS IS
CRITICAL.
