Meade is in a very difficult position right now. The big price reductions on
the LX-200 series were, imho, necessary to prevent Celestron from taking
over the market with its Nexstar GPS 11 which only recently started
deliveries. Meade stock is in the tank, selling for a small fraction of
where it was last year and, to add insult to injury, the great dot com deal
to supply optics for Terrabeam has apparently also tanked. Be patient. The
stock may be a good buy! :)
