While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Yes, but the upgrade for $495 should also include a set of new worm gear
motor assemblies!!! This might be something different, I don't know, but I
got a repair kit for the 12" LX200 under warranty (because I had a bad DEC
motor). My part # was 10124 Service Kit for 12LX200 (36-1020-00). Might be
worth it if there is any slop in your scope or if you want to get an extra
set of motor/worm gear assemblies to mess with. It comes with the main
logic board and the two motors. Supposedly a "matched set", but I don't
think I can believe that.

Maybe the upgrade kit is different due to the age of the scope. Someone
able to answer that?
