While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi Philip,
Try buying an LX200 12 inch here in the UK the price is £4500 with the US
doller being about
1.39 to the pound thats about $6200 Makes for a lot of thinking before
buying.

Probably for the same reason that I did when Meade reduced the price of the
10"
by $1000 after I ordered mine.

In general, its a good thing that they reduce the prices, I just wish they
would ask me before doing it !
