As for the tracking, I've yet to measure it to be able to give numbers. I
just know, that when I'm choosing a guidestar, sometimes the star will drift
out of the selected square before I can get the guider tracking. Thats all
of maybe 1 second. But it moves back and forth, not in just one direction.

I am polar aligned good enough for no dec drift in 5-7 minutes. I've trained
and updated my pec several times. I replaced the battery behind the control
panel. Whenever I use the ST7 guider, the star moves all over the place in
ra. I've been through uncountable calibration settings in CCDOPS, though I
have found settings that will give the best results yet.

With my FS60C( 355mm) it'll guide excellant. With the 12" at 1900mm, it'll
track most of the time. The 12" at 3000mm won't track no matter what I do. I
have taken 5 minute unguided ccd exposures with the 10"LX200 at 1600mm, so I
expect AT LEAST 1 minute unguided through this set up. I'd even settle for
30 seconds.

The ra error is so bad, I have a very hard time trying to get the 12"
focussed just letting the mount track. I often get trailed stars in 5
seconds.

I have been told that balance is the most important step, and I give the
best balance I can.
