While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Bob
My son is a network engineer and the RJ11 & RJ45 plugs he uses on my
set up are fine. If you want some, let me know off list and i will
post you some. Unless you are buying from the right suppliers some
people get the plug standards confused the i belive they get the RJ11
& the LJ12 mixed up

Tony,
Thanks. I've sourced a supplier of the cable here in the UK. Am
also
ordering an RJ11 crimper from them. I have UK 2 and 3 pair
crimpers, but
they are a tad too wide for the US 4 pole RJ11. Lest others
wonder why
I've even raised the question of RJ11's, the UK telephone system
uses a
very different modular connector, and the US RJ11 is somewhat hard
to come
by here. I bought a bunch that purport to be US RJ11, but they
are too
wide by a fraction. Filing them down runs the risk of an
incomplete
connection that can--and did-fry my LX200 electronics a couple of
weeks ago.
Regards,
Bob G.
