While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi John,

how does the ST-8 perform with the f/3.3?
Is there much vignetting?
What about coma?
Is it possible to see some of your shots?

I would like to know if I can use the f/3.3 with the KAF1600 I plan to
purchase (in the not-too-near future...)

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Bostjan

There seems to be a lot a variability in whether
someone is able to reach focus with a camera and the
meade 3.3 reducer.

I have quite a long imaging train (12"
lx200-ngfs-reducer-t adapter-cfw8-st8e). Even with
this long train I reach focus every time, and get a
reduction of f4. I use the meade t adapter that came
with the reducer without either extension tube. I
figure teh filter wheel acts as the extension tube.

Why are some people not able to reach focus with less
equipment?

John
