While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Jeff,

I've been meaning to experiment with that idea for some time now but haven't
gotten around to it as yet. I bought RGB sheets of color filter material
from Edmund Optics, some time ago. I don't recall the size, but they're more
than large enough to cover the end of my 10" LX200. The sheets are a lot less
expensive than their regular color filters, but I can't vouch for their
optical quality as yet.

I have the Meade 216XT CCD. Instead of purchasing a color wheel, couldn't I
just use (inexpensive, hopefully) color filters in a cardboard frame or
whatever
on the front of the OTA? If so, where would I find the necessary filters?
