In the UK i have seen small nexstar badged as Tasco scopes.

Tasco. I would not be surprised is some sort of merger was being planned betweeen
Celestron and Bushnell, and am rather happy that the Tasco rumor disappeared.

I was in Walmart the other night and noticed that Celestron is marketing their whole line scopes including Nextstars under the Bushnell brandname for about 1/3 less than the cost under the Celestron brandname as a department store scope. Whats up with that?
