Did you at any point drop the keypad? I've had this same problem twice after
dropping the keypad whilst moving my scope. The impact can dislodge the
ribbon cable that runs from the membrane IC board to the main IC board in
the keypad, resulting in a failure to boot. Worth a check if you've had an
inadvertent drop along the way...
