Gene,
Moving the scope during an exposure is a good way to
align the camera with respect to the directions on the
screen: center the scope on a bright star, take a 5
sec's exposure and move the scope in CNTR a little to
the east or west.
Check for the differences between the peaks of each
end of the trail caused by the star, and rotate the
camera untill the trail is completly horizontal( or
vertical, depend on what you want...).
A good alignment makes life much easier when working
with Guide or any other program, when one wishes to
find a certein field of stars or so...
