I don;t know about the dusting (though you can surely add some kind of
filter to the fan intake), but the airflow will certainly decrease the
chances of condesation on the mirror. The fan works as a cooler when the
mirror is warmer than the surrounding air; when the mirror gets cooler
that the air (by radiative cooling), the fan will actually warm it up.
