Greetings,
The new VSE Monster4 focuser has finally arrived to
our observatory yesturday.
>From a short testing Ive managed to do just before a
full cover of fog has ended my work there (I really
wanted clear skies to work with a new instrument so it
was obious such thing will occure...) this piece of
equipment is indeed a dream coming true. I did some
rough focusing with the focus-knob, I jently locked
the mirror and fine focused with the M4. The analog
indicator is amazingly useful and makes the whole
focusing work very simple and eficient.
I still didnt have a chance to use the attached servo
motor since Paul Van-Sylke sent us a 110v adapter and
here the outlets are 220v...hope to get a good adapter
and fix everything by tonight.
I will post more results and opinions as soon as I
have any.
