While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

why should I pay a UK importer £720 to import a scope and not even check to
see if it works correctly. The price in difference I could fly out to the US
for a few days in NY buy a scope for cash and bring it home with me and
still have change.
It's been a while since we have had a heated debate on MAPUG 10" v 12" etc
but I think I'm going to open a can of worms with my next statment:-
maybe Meade over charge overseas imports to keep the cost down on US scopes.
