While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Greg,
I upgraded to MaximDL/CCD a couple of years ago to control my 216xt, but
that was because I knew I was going to be also upgrading my camera later (I
switched to an MX716, but I still use the 216xt as an autoguider
occassionally). I was very dissatisfied with Meade's software, and more
importantly Meade's lack of support for the software/camera.
The only reason I hesitate to recommend MaximDL/CCD, though, is because it
is a +$400 investment. But it is an excellent package with which I have
been extremely pleased and will be able to use without regard of which
camera(s) I have.

I'm really just looking for a better user interface (finding
the F7 key in the dark on a laptop isn't easy).
