While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Rachel:

If your SN6 is like my older SN8 then the best way is to mark the outer ring
of the mirror plate so you can put it back on correctly, then remove the
back mirror cell. Again if yours is put together like mine, just remove the
locking screws that you collimate with and the whole mirror cell will come
out. If the eyepiece has scratched the mirror then take a black marker and
cover the scratch (assuming it is small). This way any scratches will not
interfere with the image. Then just put the mirror back on and collimate.
The proceedure is the same for cleaning the mirror.

If you need any more info, just email me directly. I can take a few pictures
of the back of my scope and send you showing the screws if you want. Its
really not that hard, I have just about completely rebuilt my scope over the
last few years with new focuser, flocking and the like and have had it apart
many times.

Blair
