While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Good morning everybody.
Does someone know how the mirror lock mechanism work? (i.e. have you ever
open one LX200GPS?)
Yesterday I was locking the mirror (it was NOT too tight) when suddently the
knob became loose (and my heart jumped, by the way). Rotanting the knob
fully clockwaise (in the "unlock" position) and back in the lock position, I
still get some locking effect, but not as good as before. Any suggestion?
Does someone know how to work on that system? I have a good experience in
open SCTs and remove the optics (I worked in a telescope shop for some
years), but I never opened a GPS.
Thank you very much, and clear sky!
