While you're here, how about checking out the

Ciao to all,
Some days before, i posted a mail concerning my problems in autoguiding with a 201.
Some of you answered me that my main problem was the mirror flop of the OTA (Meade 2045) piggybacked to the main OTA (10" f 6.3) and that cause some guiding error due to this movement.
But i started to solve my problem starting from another point of view. I saw that just after 10 min of giuding the problem was jumping out. I also started to think why use a Et of 0,5 sec, if with this interval the star is almost in the same position (also with a worst polar aligment). I was on the right way; it could be possible that with a so short time the 201 firmware is not abble to take the data of the chip, elaborate it and send the corrections to the scope. That's it.. Using Et of 3 the ccd is guiding correctly with the same configuration.
After 5 years, lots of cold night and picts moved... The problem is not mine (a part using a wrong Et) but of the firmware...
During the next new moon (hoping for clear sky) i will try with different settings....
My questions are now:
- does Meade have not think that with too short Et the ccd is not working correctly
- Other of the group had the same problem and the same solution?
Am i right? or someone can suggest me something?
ALEX
