Flocking an SCT is tricky- you have to be careful not to get the
sticky-backed paper on the mirror.
I've heard of a shortcut- use a felt-lined flexible dew shield (Kendrick, I
think), cut it to the length of the inside of your scope, and put it inside,
so it unrolls against the walls. Then you have black felt on the inside.
I'm not sure if it "unrolls" strongly enough to keep it from sliding forward
and hitting the corrector plate when the tube is aimed down, so you might
still need some glue, if you can find some that will stick to the plastic
that such dew shields are made out of. Maybe some double sided foam tape.
Make sure the back end of the shield extends beyond the mirror to the rear
cell of the scope.
But with both of these methods, the results I've heard about are, well, not
overwhelming. From what I've heard from people who have done it, it does
improve the contrast some, but it's not clear if it's worth the effort, at
least not the sticky-paper version.
