While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I've lost track of the details of this thread, but here's a few "common
problems" to check for:
Make sure you do a dark frame when you start the night, and whenever you
change the exposure time, or if you disconnect power from the guider.
Recalibrate if you change the effective focal length (ie, add a focal
reducer or anything like that), or if you change the orientation of the
guider wrt RA/dec directions, or if you make a big change in declination.
