Hi Guys,
Well, being more than somewhat electronically challenged....
We purchased an LX200 Classic several years ago and had an electronics
problem with it. We tried several easy fixes but nothing happened. They
sent me instructions and I then pulled all the circuit boards, motors, HC
and cables and sent them to Meade. A month later they all came back, and I
installed them. Turned on the switch, the LED panel went full red, brief
puff of smoke, whiff of ozone and dead scope. THEN I put the whole scope
back into the box and shipped it back. A month later it was back.
Sorry, but some of us are not sharp enough to do these things so I guess "I"
am what they are guarding against.
