In a message dated 1/21/05 5:19:14 PM Central Standard Time,
WASHINGTON - The White House has eliminated funding for a mission to service
the Hubble Space Telescope from its 2006 budget request and directed NASA to
focus solely on deorbiting the popular spacecraft at the end of its life,
according to government and industry sources.
Hi:
Or not.
This is not good BUT...
1. It's not at all unusual for Congress to restore funding to programs.
2. The Hubble may merely be a bargaining chip as the article suggests, and
will survive in the end.
